A serious issue that many young adults and
adults struggle with, healthy eating and exercise. Many Americans constantly
have a busy schedule. Therefore, they may choose to eat at fast food
restaurants like McDonald’s for easy accessibility rather than to make their
own meals which will always be healthier than that of fast food restaurants. This
is an issue that I have been struggling with for many years. I will always
choose to eat unhealthy, fried, and fattening foods over fruits, vegetables,
low sodium, and low fat foods. My roommate is a personal trainer who is
constantly aware of her diet and health. One of her techniques to staying
healthy is to take pictures of every meal she eats. The pictures help her
notice what she is eating, if she is getting enough protein, carbohydrates,
lean meat, etc. each day. As a result, I would like to write about my eating
habits in blog form compared to a personal trainer’s daily diet and work out schedule. Therefore, I chose to do a 15 day experiment, taking pictures of the foods I eat on a daily basis. I chose 15 days because I felt that a full month of dieting and exercise would cause me to give up after the completion of this project. The purpose is to continue to live a healthy lifestyle; not complete the experiment and revert back to your old lifestyle. The 15 days will be considered as a cleanse for my body, getting rid of my bad eating habits such as snacking. I hope to have learned that the food choices that I make
throughout the day will affect my health in the long run and will inspire others to try this experiment as well.
