I'd have to say that my parents did get me everything I needed and the majority of the time they bought me what I wanted which spoiled me in many ways.
They didn't feel that I needed to have a part time job after school because they wanted me to only focus on my studies and I shouldn't worry about earning money if they were taking care of me financially. However, they never realized that working at a job along with focusing on your education is a factor to be able to function and grow in the world we live in. One goes with the other. They meant well, but my experience living life has showed me the importance of experiencing both worlds to not only survive, but to have that complete sense of structure in the world.
