One day, the narrator and Luo go on a trip to see Four-Eyes. Four-Eyes broke his glasses, so the boys helped him with his load. In return, Four-Eyes gave them a copy of a Balzac book. Later in the story, the boys discover that Four-Eyes' mother has come to pick him up and bring him home.
There is a party to commemorate Four-Eyes' leaving. During this time, the boys steal his secret books.
